“Westfield’s Youth for Change Announces 2027 Charity All-Nighter, New RecipienT”

[WESTFIELD, MA] Youth for Change, formerly known as WMCD Inc, is excited to announce its sixth annual 25-hour charity all-nighter event on March 5-6, 2027.

The outer-space themed event kicks off at 7:00pm on Friday, March 5 with performances by the Westfield High School and Westfield Middle School band, and will continue through 8:00pm on Saturday, March 6. The all-nighter will feature games, music, dancing, high-energy activities, karaoke, a commemorative shirt, and benefit three local charitable organizations that were selected by members of the YFC Youth Team.

All the money raised by Youth for Change leading up to, and throughout, the event will support Rachel’s Table (battling widespread food insecurity), Brittney’s Believers (spreading awareness for, and advocating for a cure for, childhood cancer) and an all-new recipient this year – Shine Initiative. 

Shine Initiative educates youth and young adults on mental health issues, provides local resources in Massachusetts for professional treatment and works to remove the stigma associated with these common illnesses. All three recipients will receive their grants at the closing ceremony of the charity all-nighter at 7:00pm on Saturday, March 6th.

“We’re excited to elevate the experience this year,” said Don Klee, the all-nighter program coordinator. “With it being our second year in this venue and sixth overall, we’re excited to take what we’ve learned and expand the event with new competitions, musical games, and some classic activities from past all-nighters.”

Registration will cost $27 when it opens on January 3, 2027. The event will take place at Westfield Middle School at 30 W Silver Street in Westfield.

Youth for Change (formerly WMCD, Inc) is a Westfield-based nonprofit that creates hands-on opportunities for young people to volunteer, contribute their ideas, and make a meaningful impact in their communities.
