Western MA Charity DanceAthon Rebrands as Youth for Change After Five Years of Growth

[WESTFIELD, MA] After five years of empowering hundreds of young people through volunteerism and charitable service, Western MA Charity DanceAthon, Inc. is officially introducing a new name: Youth for Change.

While the name and visual identity of the nonprofit is changing, the mission remains the same. Youth for Change will continue to focus on empowering middle and high school students to lead through volunteerism while making an impact in communities across Western Massachusetts.

“We’re very excited for this next chapter,” said Harry Monti, Director of Youth for Change. “This rebrand has allowed us to have thoughtful, collaborative conversations about who we are and what we want to accomplish. Adopting our new name ‘Youth for Change’ keeps us focused on building an organization that helps young people year-round discover their ability to make a difference”

Founded in 2021, the nonprofit began with a single overnight fundraiser inspired by the idea that the community could rally around youth to show them the importance of giving back. Since then, the organization has grown to engage students year-round through leadership development, volunteer work, and event planning. Since its first event in 2022, Youth for Change has engaged over 300 local youth in its programming and distributed 14 grants to local nonprofit partners totaling over $140,000.

The new name better reflects the organization’s work while honoring its important history. Remaining unchanged is the flagship 25-hour charity all-nighter for middle and high school students, which will take place again in March 2027. Community members can learn more about Youth for Change, explore volunteer opportunities, and follow the organization's upcoming events by visiting www.yfchange.org.
